Students will work on their own designs on a 30?30 frame.? ?Frame, cloth, yarn, backing and tufting gun are all included in the cost of this class. Please email a picture to your instructor, Tony Sansalone, at least 3 days before the class begins. Your design can be anything! Your dog, cat, a self-portrait, landscape or even an abstract piece. In this needle felting class you?ll be learning to sculpt a bear out of?roving (produced during the process of making spun yarn from wool fleece). Needle felting is the process of using a barbed needle to repeatedly jab the?roving?causing the fiber to tangle and become more compact. In this class you will learn the basics of needle felting a three dimensional object, how to create a core shape, apply an outer color, build arms and feet, if desired, and create facial features. Students can choose different colors and each will design their own unique bear.?As time allows, students can needle felt ?bear accessories? such as hats, scarves, etc. Needle felting is an easy-to-learn technique that involves lots of poking with a barbed needle (also can be effective stress relief), to shape and sculpt the natural fiber.?You?ll be surprised at what you can create with a needle, some?fiber, and a little imagination! No bears will look the same, and that is part of the fun!

Beer isn?t the only thing brewing at craft breweries, love is too.Breweries have long been known as community spaces with the power to bring people together, but there is a lesser-known connection between craft beer and romance, whether it started in a taproom as a first date or became shared experiences between couples, nothing is sweeter than a craft beer love story.The Phoenix has hosted engagement parties, a few weddings, and many receptions. You can often spot engagement or wedding photos happening at the brewery.A vow renewal just seems like a perfect fit with Valentine?s Day approaching. Craft Beer-loving married couples are invited to renew their vows on Saturday, February 11th in the production facility of the Phoenix Brewing Company for a non-denominational group vow renewal ceremony.Couples can rededicate their love at the vow renewal led by Phoenix brewers. The production facility will open at 5 pm and the ceremony will start at 5:30 pm. The Production facility, located directly next door to the taproom, will be open until 7 pm for couples to continue their celebration.What should participants wear? Suggested attire is their favorite brewery apparel, but really it is all about the couples. Guests will have the opportunity to snap photos at a selfie station. And cake will also be available, while it lasts.Registration is not required, but couples should be 21 and over to participate.The vow renewal ceremony does not have any legal significance. Couples do not need to bring their marriage license to participate.

Every Saturday starting Feb. 4th from 11a-2pm, Element of Art is opening up our Studio/Gallery area, (as space allows), free to the public to use as a public art creation and collaboration space.Bring a current project to work on or find your inspiration here to create and collaborate on something new.
