Join us at the Mansfield Art Center and create your own tufted rug! This 6 hour class will introduce students on how to operate a tufting gun as well as cut, glue and shave their own tufted piece. Students will work on their own designs on a 30?30 frame.? ?Frame, cloth, yarn, backing and tufting gun are all included in the cost of this class. Please email a picture to your instructor, Tony Sansalone, at least 3 days before the class begins. Your design can be anything! Your dog, cat, a self-portrait, landscape or even an abstract piece. In this needle felting class you?ll be learning to sculpt a bear out of?roving (produced during the process of making spun yarn from wool fleece). Needle felting is the process of using a barbed needle to repeatedly jab the?roving?causing the fiber to tangle and become more compact. In this class you will learn the basics of needle felting a three dimensional object, how to create a core shape, apply an outer color, build arms and feet, if desired, and create facial features. Students can choose different colors and each will design their own unique bear.?As time allows, students can needle felt ?bear accessories? such as hats, scarves, etc. Needle felting is an easy-to-learn technique that involves lots of poking with a barbed needle (also can be effective stress relief), to shape and sculpt the natural fiber.?You?ll be surprised at what you can create with a needle, some?fiber, and a little imagination! No bears will look the same, and that is part of the fun!

You can often spot engagement or wedding photos happening at the brewery.A vow renewal just seems like a perfect fit with Valentine?s Day approaching. Craft Beer-loving married couples are invited to renew their vows on Saturday, February 11th in the production facility of the Phoenix Brewing Company for a non-denominational group vow renewal ceremony.Couples can rededicate their love at the vow renewal led by Phoenix brewers. The production facility will open at 5 pm and the ceremony will start at 5:30 pm. The Production facility, located directly next door to the taproom, will be open until 7 pm for couples to continue their celebration.What should participants wear? Suggested attire is their favorite brewery apparel, but really it is all about the couples. Guests will have the opportunity to snap photos at a selfie station. And cake will also be available, while it lasts.Registration is not required, but couples should be 21 and over to participate.The vow renewal ceremony does not have any legal significance. The performance features an original script by Michael Thomas of the story ?Pinocchio,? performed by local actors, and musicians from the Mansfield Symphony. Teddy Bear concerts take place in the Ren?s Theatre 166 venue, with audience members sitting alongside the performers. Geared to children ages 2 through 10, each Teddy Bear concert offers an interactive element as well as a relaxed environment. Small audience sizes, lights up, and low sound levels as well as safe sensory-spaces allow audience members with autism and other sensory-processing disorders to be accommodated at this performance. Saturday, February 24, 2023 | 5-8 PM Sunday, February 25, 2023 | 5-8 PM $76.50 Members | $85 Non-Members Join us at the Mansfield Art Center and create your own tufted rug! This 6 hour class will introduce students on how to operate a tufting gun as well as cut, glue and shave their own tufted piece. Students will work on their own designs on a 30?30 frame.? ?Frame, cloth, yarn, backing and tufting gun are all included in the cost of this class. Please email a picture to your instructor, Tony Sansalone, at least 3 days before the class begins. Your design can be anything! Your dog, cat, a self-portrait, landscape or even an abstract piece.
