Did you know that you have an amazing gift of kindness sitting in your pantry? Friday, September 4th, is National Food Bank Day, and our REALTORS® encourage you to give back to our community by donating to a local food bank. National Food Bank Day is a relatively new United States holiday, but food banks and pantries have operated in our country for decades.
You can celebrate National Food Bank Day in a number of ways. First and foremost, you can donate nonperishable foods to your local food bank. You could also make a generous monetary donation to help these food pantries keep their operations running as efficiently as possible. If you're unable to donate physical items, you can donate your time and help the food bank sort donations, assist members of the community, and complete administrative tasks.
