If you prefer walking a path surrounded by natural beauty, you'll enjoy the July Garden Walk on July 22. Head Gardener, Bill Collins, will lead garden enthusiasts on a mid-summer stroll among Daylilies, Hostas, and a beautiful selection of summer-blooming perennials and annuals.
From August 5 through October 1, your family can enjoy a whimsical exhibit with frog sculptures by Andy Cobb. Each colorful copper frog is caught in a moment of playful interaction with its frog companions. The Ribbit Exhibit opening will be a celebration with entertainment and refreshments. Your family can learn about amphibians on Toad Tuesdays and hunt for hidden treasure on Where it is Wednesdays.
Your entire family will enjoy the Hampstead Stage Company's August 2 production of Pinocchio. You must supply your own seating, so remember to bring a blanket or a chair.
Every Tuesday through Saturday, groups of 15 or more may arrange a guided tour. During the 1 & ½ hour walking tour you'll visit the gardens, greenhouse, and Kingwood Hall.
King Center Gardens offers fun and educational workshops for everyone. It's easy to participate. Simply call 419-522-0211, Ext. 107 to register or download the online registration form.
