A Winter Treat for the Kids: Little Buckeye Children's Museum
It's easy to see why Mansfield, Ohio is dubbed as the "Fun Center of Ohio." It houses an indoor wooden carousel, 33 city parks, and a number of outdoor concert venues. Hands-on Fun for the Family at the Little Buckeye Children's Museum
The Little Buckeye Children's Museum features 30 different exhibits that promote hands-on learning for young children two to ten years old. It uses play exploration throughout their exhibits to encourage children to use creative, critical thinking, motor skills, and social interaction skills. These exhibits provide familiar and realistic experiences.
Little Buckeye allows children to celebrate their creative side with a variety of creative exhibits. From making music in the Musical Pipes exhibit to drawing their own masterpiece on the Graffiti Wall, your child will be using their creative juices. Exhibits, such as Little Stoodt's Market, the Beauty Salon, and the McDonalds allow children to practice problem-solving skills while they use their imagination in pretend careers.
Little Buckeye promotes science and learning and teaches students how to build a Lego race car or complete a maze with a ping pong ball. Some of these exhibits are geared for older kids but the younger ones will have fun trying.
They offer both Art classes and Music and Music and Movement classes for two to eight-year-olds in the morning.
The museum offers three membership bundles: a family membership, a grandparent membership, and a birthday party membership. All three include unlimited visits for one year, complimentary and discounted classes, and discounted birthday parties. You get one free party with the birthday party membership.
The museum is open Wednesday through Sundays. It's open 10 am to 4 pm on Wednesday through Friday, 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, and 12 pm to 5 pm on Sundays. They're also open in the evenings for First Fridays.
With your admission stamp, it's easy to leave and return the same day. There lots of other family fun destinations nearby, including lunch spots like Coney Island Diner and Two Cousins Pizza Co.
