If you love classic cars, whether you are already a homeowner in our area or are shopping Mansfield homes for sale in hopes of becoming one, you'll love being in Mansfield this September. That's because Mansfield has been chosen by the Studebaker Drivers Club (SDC) to host the 55th annual SDC International Meet. The Antique Studebaker Club will also hold their 2019 International Meet in Mansfield in September. That means that Studebaker owners from all over North America and beyond will roll into town with their classic Studebakers for a week-long celebration of all things Studebaker.
The Richland County Fairgrounds is the place to be for classic car lovers from September 9th through the 14th. The fun will kick off on the 9th and 10th with the Antique Studebaker Club's 2019 International Meet, which features Studebaker vehicles built between 1913 and 1948. Owners of these antique vehicles will show them and share their history and restoration details, and patrons can also peruse the wares of the many vendors who participate in this annual event.
The 55th annual Studebaker Drivers Club International Meet kicks off on September 11th and runs through the 14th. This event will feature vehicles built throughout the history of the Studebaker company, which produced a range of vehicles between 1913, when its first gas-powered vehicle was built, through 1966, when production at the last Studebaker plant in Canada ended. Vehicles on display for this meet will include a range of passenger cars as well as larger commercial-style trucks produced by the company.
These events will be open to club members throughout the week when swap meets, auctions, concourse judging of participating vehicles and other activities will be happening. Non-members can enjoy these unique classic cars on September 14th, when they can view all 300-400 original, restored and modified Studebaker vehicles expected to be present for these events, as well as all other exhibits and vendors gathered at the fairgrounds for the meets. Non-members, according to the Studebaker Drivers Club, will be charged a nominal gate fee for admission to the public car show.
