Mansfield Winter Fun - Sledding, Tubing - Haring Realty

The arrival of winter doesn't mean the end of all the outdoor fun in Mansfield, Ohio! Quite the opposite, in fact. Our REALTORS® are always excited to welcome the snow for all the opportunities it brings, and these are some of our favorite spots for winter fun in the Mansfield area!

  • Go Tubing at Snow Trails - 3100 Possum Run Road, Mansfield, OH 44903
    Skiers and snowboarders flock to Snow Trails every winter to hit the slopes, but some of the best fun for the whole family can be found at the snow tubing area. Snow tubing is pure fun, with no skill or experience necessary. The massive snowmaking system at Snow Trails ensures powdery slopes from December right through March, and tubing (including after-dark glow tubing) offers endless excitement through the winter months. Snacks and warm beverages are available at the Snow Tubing Lodge. Snow Trails is Ohio's premier destination for winter sports, and there are many Mansfield homes for sale just minutes away.

  • Go Sledding at Shelby Reservoir No. 3 - 3846 London West Road, Shelby, OH 44875
    The cozy city of Shelby, Ohio offers a lot of great parks and trails for winter exploring. The trails around Shelby Reservoir No. 3 are some of our favorite local spots for winter hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. They're great for sledding too, making Shelby a great off-the-beaten-path destination for winter fun. Be sure to check out the 3-mile wooded Nature Trail near the lakeshore. Despite being within the city limits, it feels like a whole other world of quiet and serenity. Shelby Reservoir No. 3 is one of many parks and lakes in Richland County, located right around the corner from Shelby homes for sale.

  • Go Cross Country Skiing at Malabar Farm - 4050 Bromfield Road, Lucas, OH 44843
    The reclaimed historic farmland of Malabar Farm State Park, originally founded by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Louis Bromfield, is one of Richland County's great destinations for outdoor adventure. A magnet for hikers in summer and leaf-peepers in fall, the park is also a hot spot for cross-country skiing in winter, with over 11 miles of trails ripe for exploration. The Malabar Farm State Park grounds open during daylight hours year-round, and visiting the park is always free of charge.   • Go Ice Fishing at Pleasant Hill Lake  - 3431 State Route 95, Perrysville, OH 44864
    For many anglers in Richland County, the fishing season is just getting started when the lakes start freezing over. Pleasant Hill Lake Park in Perrysville is one of the area's top destinations for ice fishing, and we're looking forward to another great season on the ice. The centerpiece of the park is 800-acre Pleasant Hill Lake, which harbors healthy populations of crappie, bluegill, white bass, saugeye, and many other species. Pleasant Hill Lake is known as one of the best fishing lakes in Ohio year-round, and it's just down the road from many Loudonville/Perrysville homes for sale.
